The law says your council must sort out advocates for children and young people who want to make a complaint about their health care.

Your council must also make sure there are advocates for children and young people who are detained in mental health inpatient units.

We are making a list of the advocacy services for children and young people who are in hospital, including mental health inpatient units. We will put this online as soon as it’s finished.

You can also contact Help At Hand at the Children’s Commissioner for England’s office.

As a person with rights, you should always be respected and listened to.
